Moving Onward.

Posted on May 18, 2025 by Lou

Our time off so far has seen us catching up with some friends, seeing a couple of different shows, enjoying some good local food, enjoying many waterfalls while hiking, taking in the beautiful scenery from several overlooks, visiting a local church that is housed in an old amusement park and also dealing with T just not feeling well this week. This week has been tough at times with a visit to three different medical facilities in one day and not knowing what to do or where to go to ease T’s discomfort. As you all know T has been experiencing much pain in his lower back, hips and lower legs. Those symptoms were joined by gastrointestinal symptoms this week that left him quite miserable. Enough that we ended up seeking advice from a Pharmacist in a local Walgreens who finally was able to advise T something to try and help elevate his symptoms. I am happy to report he is feeling much better today after getting a massage on Friday and having an opportunity to sleep/rest a lot this week. He seems back to his old self, but I have to admit this week has been a bit of a roller-coaster. We would appreciate your continued prayers as we discern where we should have a home base. This week has shown us that it is important to have a place to come back to in this stage of our lives and we are praying through the discouragement for God to provide a place for us to call home so many months out of the year or longer. Pray that we will be open to what that looks like for us, whether it be a house/land that we rent or buy or something else. Thank you.

Tomorrow we move on to another location, still in the Ozarks of Missouri. We will be there until Sunday and then move on again, a little further down the road, arriving in TN early June for Friends Fest with some old friends from Italy and a new SOWERS project close to old friends we met in Colorado Springs that now live outside of Nashville. We are looking forward to reconnecting with sweet friends and rejoining our SOWER community to serve.

Here are a few pictures from our last week here. We have enjoyed being in this area and hope to return again some time sooner rather than later. Be in touch again soon- Love Lou
