We have been blessed with some really good weather the last few weeks so I am not going to complain about the rain today. We are parked right in front of a pond so I have been watching the level of the water in said pond though! The pond has given us a beautiful, serene view with various kinds of birds as frequent visitors. Thankfully we haven’t seen the resident alligator as I would prefer Copper to be able to run around a little outside without becoming a possible snack! This week we have had a slightly different schedule where we took Tuesday off and worked Friday and half of Saturday. T and I can add new skills to our list, of painting car parking lines and shampooing large areas of carpet in the church school. It involved maneuvering many school desks and disposing of really yucky water on one hand and being outside in the Florida sun wearing lots of sunscreen and a hat rolling hopefully, straight lines. I have to say that’s one of the fun things about moving around and helping out a different place every one or two months. The work we are given to accomplish is varied and never gets old. Do I often feel like I am under qualified… YES but God always works out the smallest of details. Normally the group He orchestrates to be together are just the right fit for what needs to be done. Often that is done through us working harmoniously as a team. This week was definitely about team work and being flexible with our time. We still found a way to have a games night and a Valentines dinner together though. Balance is key. Shouldn’t be all work with no play!
Anyways my purpose for this post was to really check in, say HI and hope that every one had a good week. We are having spotty internet again I think because of the rain so I will make a later post with pictures and summary of our time here. Love to each of you reading this – Lou
