A few weeks ago I was struggling to come up with what I wanted to share with the group for devotional. I went back and forth between several different topics, but nothing felt right to share. One of the other ladies we were serving with said she had just read a devotional about waiting and had thought about T and I. She offered to send me the link if I wanted to use it. Of course I said yes please as T and I find ourselves still with no concrete plans past May. In the RV world it is highly unusual to not have plans past several months mainly because of how quickly campgrounds fill up these days. To put things in perspective T and I already had clear plans for the rest of 2023 this time last year. I did not end up sharing on waiting, but the song that came with the devotional my new friend had shared stayed with me. It was one of my favourite songs to listen to as a new Christian. I have found myself humming the songs tune several times since that conversation and wanted to share it with you just in case you find yourself in a period of waiting like we do. The devotional that accompanies the song you can find on You Version under Passion: The Essential Collection Devotional Day 7. It talks about how no one likes to wait. How we can get impatient and create our own solutions It reminds us of our ability to pray in all situations and that we are required to “be strong” and “take heart”( Psalm 27:14). That there is purpose in our waiting. I love the final line of the devotional ” As the song says, we are able to praise Him in the midst of the uncertainty, finding strength and courage even as we face our fear of the unknown. I pray this for each of you. Happy Monday friends and family- Love Me.
