The last few weeks T and I have put a few miles on the truck and trailer. We finished up our time in Florida and made the journey back to Oklahoma with a stop in Alabama and three stops in Arkansas before landing at our home for the next three weeks in North Oklahoma City. Each stop was very different; from a very nice small, clean campground south of Birmingham AL where we actually used the campground showers, on to an older larger campground just outside of Memphis TN with a lovely view of the Mississippi river. From there we parked for the night in Arkansas wine country and was across the street from several vineyards before making our way to Northwest Arkansas to have our home worked on and inspected at a dealership. We ended up spending two days in this location and was able to reconnect with another RV couple we had met in Texas for lunch. God always seems to work things out even in the waiting. The final leg of our trip to Oklahoma started later in the day than we hoped, but we arrived safely after dark and was able to set up relatively quickly before crashing! We were exhausted! We spent the next day taking care of some much needed grocery shopping, relaxing and exploring our new park. Since then we have been catching up with some dear friends, seeing family, taking care of doctors appts etc. and navigating the Oklahoma weather with a Tornado warning thrown in for good measure. Its Spring time in the good ole USA, so not many places are safe from severe weather. Don’t ask about my anxiety levels. Monday night I was very thankful for good friends to distract me from the situation and a safe place to hunker down if and when needed.
Its hard to imagine we have been back in Oklahoma nearly a week already. Time goes fast, but we hope to make the most of our time here before travelling to Texas a few days after Memorial day weekend.
I hope each of you reading this has been keeping safe from any storms in your area and things are going well for you and your family. T and I are only a text or phone call away if you need prayer, conversation etc. We may not be in the same state or country, but you are thought of regularly and close to our hearts – Lou
