Hi everyone. Sorry it has been a little while since I last posted. Hopefully if I have your address you received our Christmas letter. T and I are still in Texas and our plans have us staying in the Hill Country another month and then on to a camp near Austin for my birthday month followed by a location near Houston in March. Our plans end in April finding ourselves in Missouri close to Branson where we are looking forward to connecting with several couples we served with in Florida. In our current location before Christmas, myself and two other ladies were given a free tutorial by one of the wives on how to make sourdough bread, so now I have some sourdough starter! After feeding it for a day I had to put it in the fridge for its survival while we were gone to Austin to spend time with both boys and their significant others. Now we are back its still in the fridge waiting for me to take it out and feed it again to hopefully use. I will keep you all posted on my sourdough bread making progress as it happens. I also have the rest of the supplies I needed to formulate a face cream x3. I have no excuses now to at least experiment. The website I use to guide me with formulating everything skincare has so many resources. I am hoping this will be the start of tapping into my creative side and at least doing something I can gift to others. I deliberately haven’t bought any facial products to use to give facials with the intent to try making my own.
Health wise T and I have been struggling a bit. I am still navigating the wonderful stage of life called menopause. I have started experiencing hot flashes which sometimes feel like an anxiety attack coming on, so not very fun. Both of us are trying to eat healthy, but one of our main sources of socializing within our groups is eating out and when we are visiting family its the same way too. Being in community, I know as a health coach, is very important for your health as well. We are striving to find balance which isn’t always easy when we are out on the road and with the holidays…. you all know what I mean 😉 LOL. I know we have to keep physically moving, eating the best we can with what is offered and to not give ourselves a hard time when we fall off the bandwagon, but encourage each other through our misgivings and get back on! I pray this for you guys too if you are struggling. Never give up. If you are a believer in Christ, God gives us the strength.
We have many unknowns, looking ahead to this coming year. We do have a wedding to look forward to in September which means we know we will definitely be back in Texas in the Fall. We do hope to meet up and visit with several of you whether we will be travelling somewhere or staying put. Our RV Tech business is still in its early stages, but we hope to generate an income from it where ever we are in 2025 and take a slight step back from doing RV ministry full time.
One of my favourite scriptures comes to mind while writing this which is found in the book of Proverbs Chapter 3. I was going to just copy and paste verses 5-7, but there is so much in the whole chapter that spoke to me I am posting it in its entirety here. https://www.bihttps://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=proverbs%203&version=NIV
Love to each of you.
Lou
